I'm curious as I use the ship designer and then mix and match minor alien races' ships in Omega ships at advanced levels to create a superior Omega ship.
If it's just the tech level they were at the time they were conquered, it's smarter to delay conquering them far later.
Similarly, if an Omega conquers the Rotharians, and then the Cartare conquer the Omega, does the Cartare gain the Omega and Rotharian ship designs?
If you get all the designs, then you should conquer them as soon as possible.
I'm playing the Android version, and when six empires are all on a 40x40 map with minor alien races, then often the map is so crowded, that major aliens will attack each other early on as there are so many minor alien races that are "space faring" so they have superior fleets.
So what can happen is elimination of a major alien race prior to turn#340. If you get all their tech, so all the ship designs, regardless of when it happened regardless if the major major alien races had learned the tech, one should try to crush them quickly, especially the Rotharians and Cartare as they will use extreme sabotage if they get the least bit powerful.
If it's plausible, the playing as the Omega, and conquering both the Catharses and Rotharians, the Omega should be unstoppable.
And if you conquer them, could you create some of the Cartare and or the Rotharian infrastructure ie like the Talshiar?
You can't do an install, but if you have a copy of the installed directory, and zip that, then unzip it on the Android and install it under ExaGear, then it may be possible to run the BotE XP version.
What that would accomplish is modding of BotE XP on Androids which is complex to do directly on the Android version. That would mean I could create mods that would be cross-platform.
I would need someone to make a copy of their installed XP version. I don't think the Vista version would work.
That kind of power in a wargame is rare. Say the USA could have made hypersonic ballistic missiles, and had Russian tank tech, and autonymous Russian submarine tech? Wow!
French medieval cavalry with English and Welsh longbows (where it began) would have reversed the battle of Crecy (1346 AD).
That killed 1500+ French nobles as cavalry. Imagine what that did to governance and the ability to wage war. If French assimilated English tech, it would have totally altered western civilization.
That is like German Gothic Knights (1442 AD).
If the French assimilated that, it would have been scary how easily they would have controlled western civilization. The Spanish empire wouldn't have happened (1492 AD).
